The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) together with the truck driving industry created a professional standard that all CDL Drivers must be familiar with. This standard upholds the safety and professional core that is necessary for a CDL training provider.
This uniform national benchmark guaranteeing that all drivers in every State learn the same basic safety skills. To combat the inconsistency achieved with state designated CDL training standards, the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) mandate provides a minimum standard on a nationwide level, ensuring that new drivers entering the industry are prepared and trained with the same minimum level of competence and focus on safety and professionalism.
